I created this blog during the summer of 2010 when I was traveling in Oaxaca, Mexico. Since then, I’ve continued writing and adding content, including articles first published elsewhere. In 2020 I retired from my position with the New Hampshire Program of the American Friends Service Committee, where I started working in 1981. Prior to that, I was a member of the staff collective of the Clamshell Alliance from 1978-1979. In 2020 I created another website, NH Radical History, which includes stories of radical activism spanning 4 centuries. I’m a member of the National Writers Union.

Good job Arnie. Please keep it going.
Hey you 2 —
Just ran into your blog, via Facebook, which I rarely tune into. Love the stories! I totally understand your hesitation to conclude what’s happening, Arnie. I felt that way 6 years ago when Tyler and I arrived the day after URO first tear-gassed and then clubbed the striking teachers, leading to creation of the coalition that sounds as if it may have just earned a victory. I ended up that trip spending much of my time playing aljedra? (chess) with some teachers. Communication was hard. You probably speak a lto more Spanish than I did. Any chance you’re in touch with Al Giordano?
Take care.
